Wisconsin Suffers in Third Round of Kepler Intercollegiate

The Badger men's golfers shot a final round 319 to take 17th place of the 18 teams competing at the Kepler Intercollegiate in Columbus, Ohio. Combining with the first two rounds of 319-306, Wisconsin had a 56-hole total of 944, three strokes behind 16th place Michigan. Host Ohio State University led the competition all three rounds and took first place with 297-294-302'893.
Leading Wisconsin's efforts Sunday was sophomore Kevin Tassistro who tied for 53 with scores of 76-80-78'234. Three Badgers tied for the 67th spot with 54-hole totals of 238; sophomore Dylan Esterling with 83-73-82, senior Joel Rechlicz with 80-79-79 and sophomore Brian Brodell with 81-77-80. Wes Hansen also competed, carding 82-77-85'244.
Next up for the Badgers is the Fossum Invitational in East Lansing, Mich. on April 26-27.
