The Wisconsin second varsity eight and novice eight boats raced at the Knecht Cup on the Cooper River on Sunday.

The UW novice eight boat won the race with a time of 7:09, beating out Buffalo, which finished in 7:13, and Kansas State, who crossed the line in 7:18 .
'The women's crew had a good weekend of racing and acquired a lot of racing experience,' head coach Maren LaLiberty said. 'We still have some changes to do in our varsity lineup and we look forward to racing within the Big teen next weekend against Minnesota and Iowa.'
The Badger women head to the land of 10000 lakes this weekend for the Big Ten Double Dual extravaganza against Minnesota and Iowa. The race begins at 10 a.m. on Phalen Lake in Maplewood, Minn.
