Wisconsin Golfers Share Lead at Branson

The Badger men's golfers are tied for the lead after the first two rounds of the Branson Creek Invitational in Branson, Mo. They fired a 54-hole score of 588 to tie with Nebraska and Southern Illinois in first place of the 14-team field. Finishing the top five are Illinois State (592) and Oral Roberts (594).
Sophomore Kevin Tassistro shares the lead for all individuals, carding an even-par (70-72) 142 for two rounds. He is tied with Illinois State's Brian Wilson in the field of 75.
Carding 74-73--147 to tie for tenth is sophomore Michael Baldwin. One stroke behind him sits senior Joel Rechlicz who shot 73-75-148. Sophomore Dylan Esterling also turned in a score for the Badgers with rounds of 78-73--151, tying for 26th.
Play resumes Tuesday at 8 a.m. with a final 18-hole round.
