Badger Golfers Place Sixth While Tassistro Finishes in Third

Sophomore Kevin Tassistro led the Badgers to a sixth place finish while shooting a 54-hole career best total of 218 at the Branson Creek Invitational in Branson, Mo. After sharing the lead Monday with a 36-hole total of 588 (295-293), the Badgers shot a final round 310 to drop to sixth place and total a 54-hole 898 among the fourteen teams competing. Sam Houston State U. shot one of the two third round scores that broke the three hundred mark and moved into first place with 299-296-292--887.
With Tassistro's scores of 70-72-76, he stole third place of the 75 member field. Dylan Esterling was next for Wisconsin with rounds of 78-73-75--226 in a tie for 17th. Senior Joel Rechlicz (73-75-80) and sophomore Michael Baldwin(74-73-81) both totaled 228, tying for 24th.
