Wisconsin Challenged in Round Two of Big Ten

Wisconsin shot a 301 in the second round of the Big Ten Championship to drop into last at the Indiana University Golf Course in Bloomington, Ind. The team's total of 298-301'599 places them seven strokes behind Penn State.
Illinois took sole possession of the lead, shooting a 281 in their second 18 holes. They total 563 for the day.
Sophomore Kevin Tassistro led the Badgers all day, duplicating his score of two-over par 73 in the second round, including four birdies. He is in a tie for 22nd with a total of 146.
In a tie for 40th, sophomore Brian Brodell shot a five-over 76 to combine with his first round score of 74 for a 150 total.
Carding four birdies in the second round, Michael Baldwin also finished at five-over with 74-76'150.
Sophomore Dylan Esterling also finished five-over in his second 18 for total scores of 80-76'156.
Senior Joel Rechlicz shot rounds of 77 and 80 to total 157 for the first two rounds of the Championship.
Play resumes at 9:00 a.m. Saturday morning with one 18-hole round and will continue with the final round on Sunday at 8:00 a.m.
