Badgers Prep For Rocky Rococo Invite

The Wisconsin women's soccer team rides a four-match winning streak into play this weekend as it hosts the annual Rocky Rococo Invitational at McClimon Soccer Complex. The Badgers open tournament play at 7:30 p.m. Friday against Iowa State, following the 5 p.m. match between Michigan and Nebraska.
The tournament continues Sunday as Michigan faces off against Iowa State at 11 a.m. UW and Nebraska conclude play with a 1 p.m. matchup.
Wisconsin (4-1-0) heads into this weekend's action having scored three times in each of the four matches of its win streak. The Badgers put together their most complete match of the season Tuesday night, blanking Marquette 3-0. Freshman Kara Kabellis was in on all three Badger goals, notching a goal and two assists. Big Ten Offensive Player of the Week Jenny Kundert has tallied goals in each of the past three matches and leads the team with four goals, three assists and 11 points. UW head coach Dean Duerst recorded win No. 109 as a Badger on Tuesday, tops in school history among women 's soccer coaches.
Nebraska (2-2-0) advanced to the third round of last season 's NCAA tournament before falling to eventual national runner-up Santa Clara. After winning its first two matches, the Cornhuskers dropped matches to 10th-ranked Duke and top-ranked North Carolina last weekend.
Michigan (0-3-1) was picked by Big Ten head coaches to finish second in the Conference this season, but has had trouble scoring goals up to this point. The Wolverines have managed just two goals this season, while allowing seven.
Iowa State (2-1-0) has recorded wins over Arizona and Weber State this season, while falling to DePaul. Amy Flores leads the Cyclones with two goals, both coming in the win over Arizona. Iowa State was 7-11-1 last season in Rebecca Hornbacher 's first season as head coach.
