Women Golfers Eighth at Legends Shootout

The Badger women's golf team had its second best 54-hole score of the year finishing eighth at the Legends Shootout in Franklin, Ind. UW had a 309-313-307--929 to finish 28 strokes off the pace.
Notre Dame came from a stroke back after 36-holes to win with a 298-304-299--901. Michigan was the top Big Ten school placing second with a 913. Illinois' Megan Godfrey was the medalist with a six-over-par 72-78-72--222.
Three Badgers scored career 54-hole bests led by freshman Katie Elliott who fired a 12-over par 76-74-78--228 to tie for 11th. Lindsay McMillan tied her season best with a 77-81-72--230 to finish tied for 14th. The 72 was a career 18-hole best for McMillan.
Freshman Mayumi Kobayashi had her best outing as a Badger tying for 28th with 76-85-77--238. Nicki Morse, Sami Forster and Melissa Martin all tied for 45th with a 244.
The Badgers are off until Oct. 18-19 when they participate in the Lady Razorback Invitational in Fayetteville, Ark.
