Badgers Take Third at Invite

The Badgers finished in third place at the Minnesota Invite after Sunday's final rounds. The men posted a total score of 522 points while not even competing in any of the final rounds Sunday.
The men were led by Adam Mania (Hickman, Neb.), who won the 200-yard backstroke preliminary (1:48.06), and Eric Wiesner (Montrose, Colo.), who was triumphant in the 100-yard freestyle (44.82).
The men's 400-yard freestyle relay team of Mania, Tim Liebhold (Chapel Hill, N.C.), Tom Molzhan (Barrington, Ill.) and Wiesner managed a second-place finish(3:00.85). Taylor Mathis (Charlotte, N.C.), meanwhile, took eighth in the 1650-yard freestyle (16:07.66).
In diving, freshman Justin Bonner (Ridley Park, Pa.) took 10th on the platform board with a score of 243.75.
The men have the week off, and will next be in competition Dec. 2-4 in Austin, Texas for the Texas Invite.
