2005 Track and Field Banquet Sunday

Come join the 2004-05 men's track team to celebrate their Big Ten Conference Triple Crown season. A banquet to honor the team will be held on Sunday at the Pyle Center, 702 Langdon St., on the UW campus.
The banquet will begin at 10 a.m. with a social hour, followed by brunch at 11 a.m. and awards at noon.
In 2004-05, Wisconsin won its second consecutive Big Ten Triple Crown ' conference titles in all three running championships (cross country, indoor track and outdoor track) during the same academic year.
Wisconsin also finished third at the 2005 NCAA Indoor Championships, picking up 11 All-America honors. The Badgers scored 43 points, the highest point total at a national champion (indoor or outdoor) by a UW team. Sophomore Chris Solinsky became Wisconsin's first individual national indoor champion since 1996 and first overall national champion since1997 when he won the NCAA Indoor 3,000 meters in 7:53.59.
