Ede Earns Academic All-District Honors

The College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) named Wisconsin men 's soccer player Christopher Ede to the 2005 CoSIDA Academic All-District V team. As a first team selection, Ede is now a candidate for the 2005 CoSIDA Academic All-America team to be announced later this month.
Ede, a native of Wauwatosa, Wis., is majoring in business finance. In his second year with Wisconsin, he has scored two goals and three assists. His first collegiate goals came as a pair in the Badgers' 3-0 win vs. Marquette. His goals helped propel the Badgers out of their seven-game slump. He added two assists in another 3-0 win, this time against UW-Green Bay.
Ede and the men's soccer team closed out the regular season with a 2-1 win at Northwestern, Nov. 6. The team will head back to Evanston, Ill., for the Big Ten tournament. Drawing the six-seed in the tournament, UW will face Indiana, Thursday Nov. 10 at 11:45 a.m. in the quarterfinal round. With a victory, Wisconsin would advance to play the winner of the Ohio State/Northwestern game.
