UW Track Schedules Available

The 2006 schedules for the University of Wisconsin men's and women's track and field teams are now available on uwbadgers.com . Both teams open their indoor seasons on Jan. 14 when they host the Badger Track Classic in the Camp Randall Memorial Sports Center, 1430 Monroe St. A tentative meet schedule is available here .
Wisconsin's indoor schedule also features a home meet with the men's and women's teams competing on Jan. 28. Minnesota, Illinois State and Illinois-Chicago as well as several open athletes come to town for that meet.
Both teams look for national qualifying marks when they compete at the Meyo Invitational at Notre Dame on Feb. 3-4, at the Iowa State Classic on Feb. 10-11 and the Husky Classic in Seattle on Feb. 11.
The Badger women host the Big Ten Conference Indoor Championships on Feb. 25-26 while the UW men look to defend their indoor title the same weekend at the University of Iowa. A last-chance qualifying meet will be held on March 3-4 before select athletes compete at the NCAA Indoor Championships on March 10-11 in Fayetteville, Ark.
The outdoor season for both teams opens on March 17-18 at the Hurricane Invitational in Coral Gables, Fla. The relays season hits in April with both teams scheduled to compete at the Texas Relays (April 5-8), Mt. SAC Relays (April 13-15), Drake Relays (April 27-29) and Penn Relays (April 27-29).
The Badgers host their only home outdoor meet on May 6 with the Wisconsin Twilight at the Dan McClimon Memorial Track, 702 Walnut Dr. The meet is the final preparation for the Big Ten Outdoor Championships for both teams at the Michigan State University on May 12-14. The NCAA Mideast Regional will be held on May 26-27 at the University of Tennessee before the season wraps up at the NCAA Outdoor Championships on June 7-10 in Sacramento, Calif.
