Badgers Eighth at Boilermaker Invite

After two rounds of the Boilermaker Invitational, Wisconsin is five strokes ahead of Minnesota for eighth place. The Badgers' 596-stroke score (295-301) lies four strokes off the pace of Wichita State.
Kevin Tassistro shot the second-lowest score of his career during the second round with a 69 to finish tied with three other players at two shots over par 146 (77-69). Tassistro's second round performance tied Minnesota's Niall Turner for the day's second-lowest single round score.
Three shots back followed Jeff Kaiser with a 149 (78-71) to tie for 26th place. Senior Ryan Conn placed 41st thanks to a 153-stroke effort (73-80) while Garrett Jones finished one stroke behind with a 154 (79-75) to tie Iowa's Dan Holterhaus. Brian Brodell used an opening round 73 to finish tied for 60th (73-86-159).
Missouri's even par 576 leads the 12-team field by five strokes heading into the final round while Purdue's Pirrya Junhasavasdikul (70-70=140) owns a one stroke advantage over Missouri's Tyler Dunn (71-70=141).
The final round of the Boilermaker Invitational begins at 7:30 a.m. Sunday morning on the Kampen Course of Purdue University's Birk Boilermaker Golf Complex.
