
Badgers Currently in Third at the Legends of Indiana Shootout

The Wisconsin women's golf team is currently in third place after two rounds of play at the Legends of Indiana Shootout being played at the par-72, 6,073-yard Legends Golf Course in Franklin, Ind., Monday.
The Badgers, who trail first-place Campbell University by 10 strokes, shot a 304 in the tournament's first round and followed with a season-low 293 in the afternoon. They completed the first 36 holes with a 21-over par 597.
Leading the way for UW was junior Katie Elliott (Madison, Wis.) who is currently in third place with an even par-144. Elliot shot a career-low 69 in the afternoon, after shooting a 75 in the first round.
Sophomore Jeanna Dahl (Fargo, N.D.) is tied for 11th after shooting a career-low four-over par 148 (75-73). Sitting tied for 31st place is freshman Kelsey Verbeten (Green Bay, Wis.). Verbeten shot a career best 18-hole (75) and 36-hole score with her eight-over par 152 (77-75).
Senior Jill Ries (Middleton, Wis.) was hitting the ball well today as she came back from a first-round 79 to shoot a 74 in the second-round and ended the day tied for 37th with a 153.
Rounding out the Wisconsin scoring was Gijon, Spain native Isabel Alvarez. The sophomore is tied for 67th after shooting a 159 (82-77).
