South Padre Photo Gallery Posted

The Wisconsin men's basketball team returned from its trip to the 2006 South Padre Island Invitational late Saturday night. The Badgers finished third in the tournament, defeating Southern and Delaware State in the opening rounds, before losing to Missouri State in the semifinals and defeating Auburn in the third-place game.
Close to 200 Badger fans made the trip to South Padre Island, Texas, to support UW, by far the biggest trunout of any of the eight participating teams. Fans that were not able to join Wisconsin on the Thanksgiving trip can catch a glimpse of the tournament through the South Padre Island Invitational photo gallery posted on UWBADGERS.COM.

Posted on the site are pictures of the Sheraton Hotel that many of the teams stayed at as well as some game action photos from the Badgers' two contests. In those photos, you can see the large contingent of Badger fans seated behind UW's bench. Thanks to all the fans that made the trip, especially those guys with the funny hats.
