
Kabellis Named First Team All-Big Ten

Kara Kabellis, a senior midfielder on the Wisconsin women's soccer team, was named a first team All-Big Ten selection, the conference announced at the Big Ten tournament.
Kabellis was named to the all-conference team for the third time of her career. She was a first team selection last year as a junior and also was named to second team as a sophomore in 2004. Additionally, the Lockport, Ill., native was selected to the all-freshman team in 2003.
Kabellis led Wisconsin in shots (49) this season. She also ranked third on the squad in points (11) and was tied for second with four goals on the year. The Badgers finished the 2006 season with a mark of 7-9-3 and tied for seventh in the conference standings.
Kabellis, a co-captain, also was the team sportsmanship honoree.
