
Kabellis Nabs Regional Honors

Kara Kabellis, a senior on the Wisconsin women's soccer team, nabbed a pair of Great Lakes regional honors this week. Kabellis, a first team All-Big Ten selection and team MVP, was named NCSAA first team all-region. In addition, the Lockport, Ill., native was also named to second team All-Great Lakes according to Soccer Buzz.
Kabellis, a second team selection in both 2004 and 2005, earned her first first team honor this year. She is a three-time All-Big Ten selection as well as a three-time Academic all-conference honoree.
Kabellis closed her four-year career at Wisconsin with 23 goals and 14 assists for 60 total points. Her 23 scores are tied for ninth on the program's all-time goals list. She also ranks among the top 10 all-time in both games started and games played.
