The Road Ahead
December 06, 2006 | Women's Swimming & Diving
With a semester of competition in the books, let's look ahead to see what 's in store for the University of Wisconsin men's and women's swimming and diving teams.
A highlight to year is the Hawaii training trip. The Badgers will spend two intense weeks getting ready for the rest of the season. During their time there, they will take on Hawaii in a dual meet competition on Jan. 4, a day earlier than the previously announced Jan. 5.
When UW returns to Madison, it will play host to the annual Big Ten Quad Duals Jan. 19-20 at the Natatorium. Minnesota, Purdue and Illinois (women's team only) are slated to compete. The Quad Duals also mark the final home competition for the Badgers for the 2006-07 year.
From there on out, it's postseason time. The women's team will head to Minnesota for the Big Ten championships Feb. 8-10, while the men's team goes to Ohio State a week later for their Big Ten championships.
For those looking for a last-chance meet in order to qualify for the NCAA championships, Minnesota will have a Go-Pher It Invite for the women on Feb. 18 and one for the men on Feb. 25.
NCAA Zone Diving takes place March 2-4 at Michigan, followed by the women's NCAA championships March 8-10 at Minnesota and the men's NCAA championships March 15-17, also at Minnesota.
