
Siow Takes Sixth in 100 Breaststroke

University of Wisconsin sophomore-to-be Yi Ting Siow claimed sixth place in the 100-meter breaststroke B-Final with a time of 1:11.70 on the second day of competition at the 2006 Mutual of Omaha Pan Pacific Championships at the Saanich Commonwealth Place Pool.
Siow, representing Malaysia's national team and the lone UW swimmer at the event, was 13th overall in the morning preliminary round with a mark of 1:11.72. She also was the top alternate in the 400-meter IM but did not race.
On Sunday, Siow will compete in the 200-meter IM and the 200-meter breaststroke.
