
Woltman Tied for First Place at Mattaponi Springs

Sophmore Dan Woltman (Beaver Dam, Wis.) is currently tied for first place following rounds of 65 and 70 Monday in the first day of the VCU/Mattaponi Springs Shootout at Mattaponi Springs Golf Club in Ruther Glen, Va.
Woltman shot a total score of 135 and is tied at nine-under par with Kent State 's Marc Bourgeois. The Badgers, as a team, shot four eagles and sit in three-way tie for fourth place following two consecutive rounds of 286.
Senior Garrett Jones (Rewey, Wis.) used a 69 in the second to catapult himself into eighth place with a 140. Onalska, Wis., native Jeff Kaiser is tied for 27th place after shooting a two-over par 146 (72-74).
Rounding out the scoring for the Badgers were sophomores Pat Duffy (Appleton, Wis.) and Tyler Obermueller (River Falls, Wis.). Duffy shot a first-round 79 and followed up with a 73 in the afternoon. He is currently tied for 57th place with Obermueller who shot a 78 in the first round and two-over par 74 in the second.
