Badgers Ready to Face Talented Arizona Squad
November 01, 2007 | Men's Swimming & Diving
The UW men's swimming and diving team will head back into action on Friday, Nov. 2, when they travel to Tucson, Ariz., to face No. 4 Arizona. The dual will take place at Hillenbrand Aquatic Center, with competition beginning at 2 p.m. on Friday and again at 10 a.m. on Saturday.
The Badgers (3-0) have gotten off to a great start this season, picking up convincing wins over UW-Green Bay, Iowa and UW-Milwaukee.
Using a mix of its steady upperclassmen to go along with its talented group of newcomers, Wisconsin has compiled impressive results across every event.
This weekend, however, will pose as UW's greatest challenge in its young season thus far. The dual will be Arizona's first meet since it finished third in the NCAA championships back in March.
Currently ranked No. 4, the Wildcats return the majority of their talented student-athletes from last season and will surely give the Badgers a run for their money this weekend.
The dual against Arizona is UW's last one-on-one matchup of the year. Wisconsin will participate in a triangular against Northwestern and Michigan in two weeks and then compete in the Texas Invite Prelims at the end of the month.
UW's meet against Arizona will commence at 2 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 1, and start up again at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 2. Competition both days will occur in Tucson, Ariz., at Hillenbrand Aquatic Center.
