
Single-Match Tickets Available for NCAA Volleyball

Single-match tickets for the first and second round of the 2007 NCAA Division I Volleyball Championship are on sale now at the UW Athletic Ticket Office. For the fourth-straight year, the Wisconsin will host first and second-round matches tonight and tomorrow in the UW Field House. No. 16 San Diego (21-7) takes on Iowa State (17-13) in the opening first-round match tonight at 5 p.m. The eighth-ranked Badgers (25-4) face Northern Iowa (22-10) in the other first-round match with first serve scheduled for 7 p.m.
First-round winners play on Saturday at 7 p.m. for the right to advance to NCAA regional play. Wisconsin also hosts one of four NCAA Regionals on Dec. 7-8 in the UW Field House. Four of the top teams in the country come to Madison for matches at 5 p.m. and 7 p.m. on Dec. 8. Regional semifinal winners play on Dec. 8 at 8 p.m. live on ESNPU for the right to advance to the national championship in Sacramento, Calif., on Dec. 13 and 15.
Tickets for first or second-round matches are $8 for a reserved seat, which must be purchased today at the UW Athletic Ticket Office. Only general admission tickets will be sold at the gate, which opens at 4 p.m. General admission tickets are $7 for adults and $5 for youth and senior citizens.
The Badgers received an at-large bid to their 16th overall and 12th consecutive NCAA tournament. The UW is 28-15 (.651) in 15 post-season appearances. Wisconsin has advanced to regional play the last three years.
