Engen Competes At USGA U.S. Amateurs

Junior UW golfer Nick Engen (McFarland, Wis.) qualified as an alternate at the USGA U.S. Amateur Qualifiers at Hartland Chenequa Country Club on Monday.

Engen recorded a first round four-under par score of 67, and a one-over par second round score of 72.

Three other Badger golfers competed in this event, but were unable to qualify. Patrick Duffy (Appleton, Wis.), Daniel Woltman (Beaver Dam, Wis.), and Craig Cerbins (Berlin, Wis.) did not make the cut.
