Nine individuals will be inducted into the UW Athletics Hall of Fame on Friday, Aug. 29. The festivities outside the Shell (adjacent to Camp Randall Stadium) start at 5:30 p.m. UWBadgers.com is counting down to the big evening by featuring one inductee per day leading up to the 29th. Today we look at the career of Craig Norwich, an All-America defenseman with the Badger hockey team.
- 1975, 1977 two-time, first-team All-American
- School record by a defenseman for most goals in career (42) and most assists in season (65)
- 1976 second-team All-WCHA
- 1977 first-team All-WCHA
- 1977 signed with Cincinnati Stingers of the WHA
- 1977, 78, 81, 83 Team USA world championships
- 1979 top scoring defenseman in WHA
- 1979-81 played professionally for Winnipeg, St. Louis and Colorado
- 1983 all-world team selection in Tokyo, Japan ' team won gold medal
