
Volleyball travels to Iowa Wednesday

MADISON, Wis. - The Wisconsin volleyball team looks to get back on the winning track as it travels to face Iowa on Wednesday. First serve is at 7 p.m. from Carver-Hawkeye Arena in Iowa City, Iowa.

Here's a rundown of the Hawkeyes.
Iowa
- Iowa (11-15, 3-11) looks for the season sweep against Wisconsin after beating the Badgers 3-1 in Madison on Sept. 23.
- The Hawkeyes have lost five straight matches.
- Senior Megan Schipper leads Iowa's offensive attack with an average of 3.02 kills per set. Schipper, a 5-11 outside hitter, has scored 26 service aces this season, averaging 0.29 per set.
- Junior Aimee Huffman contributes 2.62 kills per set, while maintaining a .268 hitting percentage.
- Junior Mara Hilgenberg directs the Hawkeyes' offense, putting up 9.59 assists per set.
- Iowa's defense averages 15.14 digs per set and is led by senior Christina Meister, who averages 4.39 digs per set.
- The Hawkeyes have also out-blocked their opponents 2.1-1.9 blocks per set. Junior middle blocker Becky Walters stuffs a team-high 0.99 shots per set.
- Wisconsin leads the overall series 40-19-1 and has posted a 17-10 record against the Hawkeyes in Iowa City. Iowa won at home in 2008 for the first time since 1994.
