Volleyball hosts Minnesota Sunday

MADISON, Wis. - The Wisconsin volleyball team (11-13, 6-9) looks to get back on the winning track when it hosts 13th-ranked Minnesota (20-7, 11-4) on Sunday. First serve is at 1 p.m. in the UW Field House.

Here is look at Minnesota

Minnesota (20-7, 11-4) has won six of its last eight matches, including two last weekend. The Golden Gophers swept Indiana and Purdue at home last Friday and Sunday and downed Iowa on the road on Friday.
Minnesota is in sole possession of third place in the Big Ten standings at 11-4.
Twenty points in the 2009-10 Border Battle is on the line today. The annual all-sport contest between Wisconsin and Minnesota is currently tied at 110 points apiece. The Golden Gophers earned 20 points when they won the first meeting between the two teams on Sept. 25.
Junior Brook Dieter, the Gophers top hitter, left the team in mid-October and has not played in the last seven matches. Dieter had been leading the team with 3.94 kills per set.
Junior Lauren Gibbemeyer, a 6-2 middle blocker, leads Minnesota with 3.09 kills and 1.35 blocks per set. She also hits at a team-leading .411 percent.
Freshman Tabitha Love, a 6-6 right-side hitter, adds 2.28 kill per set.
The Gophers have two setters who split playing time.Taylor Carico, a 5-11 senior, averages 10.20 assists per set while Mia Tabberson, a 6-2 freshman, puts up 7.50 assists per set.
Senior Christine Tan, a 5-4 libero, leads the team with 3.74 digs per set. Carico adds 2.47 digs per set.
