
Michele Dalton honored after weekend performance

MADISON, Wis. -- Michele Dalton, Wisconsin’s sophomore goalkeeper, was named to the TopDrawerSoccer Women’s college Team of the Week on Nov. 15 for her performance in last weekend’s NCAA Tournament.
In the first round of the tournament, the Badgers tied Arizona State, 1-1 with Dalton contributing seven saves in the double overtime game to force a shootout. She then stopped the final two penalty kicks to give Wisconsin the 4-3 advantage to move on to the second round. Dalton made two saves in Wisconsin’s 1-0 shutout win over Central Florida in the second round of the tournament.
The Badgers now head to Boston to face second-seeded Boston College on Friday, Nov. 20 in the Sweet 16.
