No regular Monday coaches news conference today

The regular Monday news conference featuring UW Athletics winter coaches will NOT be held today.

Instead, the news conference will be held Tues., Dec. 29, at 12:30 p.m. CT in the Kohl Center media room. Coaches attending will include men's hockey coach Mike Eaves, and women's basketball caoch Lisa Stone. Men's basketball coach Bo Ryan cannot attend, but will have media availability after his practice (approximately 3 p.m.)

The women's basketball team hosts Michigan State Monday at 7 p.m. in the Kohl Center, and travels to Iowa for a 5 p.m. game on Thursday, Dec. 31.

The men's hockey team hosts the Badger Hockey Showdown Saturday-Sunday, Jan. 2-3 in the Kohl Center. UW plays Merrimack Saturday at 7 p.m. and meets the winner of the Ferris State vs. Yale matchup Sunday at 7 p.m. The other two games in the Showdown begin at 4 p.m. each day.
