
Women's soccer honors their seniors

Seniors Darcy Riley and Taryn Francel were recognized last Sunday before the team defeated the Michigan Wolverines, 1-0, in double-overtime. Each of the seniors were called out to the center of the field and received flowers from their teammates.
Francel, a San Diego, California, native, is majoring in Child Development. She is currently a team co-captain for the second year in a row and has started every game of the season. Francel is a large contributor to Wisconsin's backline, most recently helping the team earn a new school record of 930 scoreless minutes. She was joined on Sunday by her father Ed and mother Candace.
Riley hailing from Akron, Ohio, is majoring in Elementary Education. Riley, who is often referenced as the personality of the team, has recorded two goals and four assists in her four seasons as a Badger. Riley was joined by her parents, Michelle and Pat as well as her Brother Patrick, sister-in-law Meghan and nephew Patrick.
