MADISON, Wis. – A great gift for the holiday season is to sign your daughter up for the 2011 Lisa Stone Summer Girls Basketball camps. Three camps will be held in June for girls entering the third through 12th grades this fall.
All camps will be held in the Kohl Center and all campers receive a camp t-shirt and one free ticket to attend a Wisconsin women’s basketball game for the 2011-12 season. All campers receive instruction from the UW women’s basketball coaching staff and UW players.
The Badger Camp runs from June 15-17 and is open for students entering the fifth through 12th grades in 2011. Campers will work on offensive and defensive fundamentals and also compete in daily contests and games. An NCAA initial eligibility seminar will also be held for girls in grades 9-12. Campers will also receive a free camp basketball.
The Team Camp, which has a limited enrollment, is June 24-25. Participants from high school and summer league teams will compete in at least five games during camp.
The Parent & Daughter Camp will be held on June 25-26 and is open to students entering grades 3-8. Participants will compete in games and contests and also have pictures with Bucky Badger and Coach Stone. Campers will also receive a free camp basketball.
