With 13 true freshmen in addition to two transfers, the Wisconsin men’s soccer team has many new faces for the upcoming season. Follow along as UWBadgers.com introduces the newest Badgers during preseason training camp. Today, we meet junior transfer Arnel Zahirovic of Melbourne, Australia.

Why did you choose Wisconsin?
Because the University of Wisconsin provides great facilities for the men’s soccer program and also great support

What are your expectations for your first season at UW?
Help the program reach its goals for the season and create a good team relationship

What goals do you have for the upcoming season?
Provide great strength in the defense

How did you spend your summer?
Training in Australia

Vision and strength

What part of your game needs the most work?
I feel like I could always be fitter.

What is your favorite thing about Madison?
Great campus and excellent tradition

Something relaxing like watching soccer or reading

I like to cook.
