"I'm really pleased with the way that we improved over the course of the tournament and improved over the course of the two weeks (since the start of the season). It's been the plan and I thought our young players really stepped up from last night's match. They were a little overexcited with the big crowd and the band for the first time. But then they really just enjoyed it tonight and they really played solid volleyball, which is really nice to see. Just across the board in the lineup, everybody did a nice job.

(Allison) Wack really stood out with her serving. It's the best serving I think she's had in her career, which is just a great start to the season - that she's get very comfortable back there jump serving. I thought Kim Kuzma was solid with her serve receive, serving and her defense. She did a nice job and Alexis Mitchell really stepped it up with her blocking and offensive intensity. It's nice to see some people step up and this was really good progress for two weeks."

On blocking: "We've been working on (blocking) a lot. You know with a young group and you have new people coming in, it's going to take week by week and it's going to be a progression. But we are real pleased with that because it really frustrates the opponent's hitters."

On next week's opponents: "That's been the plan the whole time. We keep building each week for the level of the competition, so we'll look at tape of ourselves and we'll improve some things as best we can. We'll watch the opponents and head to Milwaukee. Obviously we would love to have some fans with us, it would be awesome if they would join us and see some more progress of the team."
