MADISON, Wis. -- The Wisconsin men’s soccer team will hold its inaugural College ID Camp on Jan. 6-7, 2012, at the McClain Athletic Facility located next to Camp Randall Stadium on the UW campus. The camp is open to any and all entrants, boys ages 14 and up.
Sessions run Friday evening and all day Saturday. Participants will be trained as if they are current members of the UW soccer team. By the end of the camp, participants will have a better understanding of where they are in their development and what tools they need to concentrate on before entering the college game.
“This is a great opportunity for those players who visualize playing soccer in college to come out and see where they stack up,” head coach John Trask said. “By this point your fitness should not be an issue after most likely competing in a Holiday tournament. Academically this is a great time to attend camp before school gets back into session. Hopefully you walk away with a positive, yet realistic experience from this ID camp.”
Interested participates can visit WisconsinSoccerCamp.com for more information and to register.
