BYU postgame notes
-Taylor Wurtz finished the night with 18 points, scoring 15 in the second half. Wurtz has recorded double-digit point totals in all five games this season and leads the team with 16.2 points per game.
-Badgers outrebound BYU, 31-29, marking the fourth time they have outrebounded an opponent this year. Wisconsin is averaging 37.2 rebounds a game.
-BYU’s 46 first half points were the most by an UW opponent this year. The Cougars tied opponent season-highs with 31 field goals made and a .833 three throw percentage. BYU also recorded highs with 29 rebounds and six blocks.
-Four BYU players finished with double-digit points. Wisconsin stopped BYU’s strongest scoring threat, Haley Steed, holding her to just four points, but four other Cougars scored 10 or more points.
-Badgers shot 59.1% in the first half, just 26.9% in the second half. If Wisconsin’s shoot percentage would have continued into the second half, it would have been a season-high.
-BYU committed just 10 turnovers, while the Badgers had 19.
