MADISON, Wis. -- The Wisconsin women’s soccer program has the perfect opportunity for girls of nearly all ages to brush up on their soccer skills this winter with the Skills Clinic and the College Identification Clinic. Limited spots are available, and an opportunity to participate in one of the clinics would make a great holiday gift.
Skills Clinic
Girls in grades 1-7 can participate in the Skills Clinic on Saturday, Feb. 11 from 10 a.m.-1 p.m. under the direction of the Wisconsin women’s soccer coaching staff and women’s soccer players.
In this 3-hour session participants will get the opportunity to learn new techniques and foot skills through drills and participate in small-sided games.
Mother-Daughter Soccer Clinic
The Mother-Daughter Clinic is offered for girls in grades 1-7 and their mothers. This clinic is appropriate for any skill level and will provide a unique opportunity for mothers and daughters to connect through the medium of soccer.
This two-hour clinic will run from 10 a.m.-12 p.m. on Jan. 22. Wisconsin players and coaches will be present to facilitate a relaxed learning atmosphere where attendees will work on the basics such as passing, dribbling, ball control and balance.
College Identification Clinic - SOLD OUT
The College Identification Clinic provides an opportunity for girls in grades 8-12 to show off their soccer skills on Sunday, Feb. 12 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. This clinic will provide players with a greater understanding of the demands of a Division I Women's Soccer program.
Participants will receive positional training and participate in small-sided games under the direction of the Wisconsin women’s soccer coaching staff and women’s soccer players.
The clinics will be held at the McClain indoor facility connected to Camp Randall that spans over 8,000 square feet of turf. Winter Center of Excellence Program
The Badgers invite boys and girls ages 6-18 to participate in the nine-week Winter Center of Excellence Program at the McClain Athletic Facility. There will be two sessions divided by age group every Tuesday evening, Jan. 17 – March 13. The idea of the program is to provide players a training environment where they can realize their goals of improving as a “Total Soccer Player.” After attending the nine-week program, participants will notice improvement in all facets of the game.

Wisconsin Women’s Summer Soccer Camp
The University of Wisconsin women’s soccer coaching staff has also announced the dates for summer camps.
Head coach Paula Wilkins and assistants Patrick Farmer and Tim Rosenfeld are hosting four different camps that accommodate players of all ages.
The two Elite Camps will be offered July 1-3 and July 12-14. The Elite Camp is intended for players who are between the ages of 14-17 and are driven to train and compete at the collegiate level.
From July 5th -8th the Academy Camp, an overnight camp for ages 12-17, it is designed to prepare players to compete and train at a higher level.
For children of a younger age, the UW staff is hosting a Badgers Day Camp, July 16-20. This camp, for ages 4-12, provides girls and boys an opportunity to focus on fundamental skill instruction in a fun and relaxed setting.
