Player of the game
Senior Ashley Thomas finished with a career-high 14 points and seven rebounds while playing in a career-high 39 minutes. The 6-2 post shot 75 percent (6-of-8) from the field for a career best and was also 2-of-2 from the line. In addition, Thomas tied her career bests of three assists and one block.

Play of the game
The Badgers trailed 32-30 with 13:14 to play when Lorreal Jones went in for a layin and was blocked by Cassie Rochel with 12:53 to play. Jones got the offensive rebound, put the jumper back up but was again blocked by Rochel. Lindsay Smith grabbed the offensive rebound for the defensive stop by the Badgers. Wisconsin scored five straight points to go up 35-32 with 11:45 remaining.

Wisconsin trailed 30-25 with 16:16 to play in the game and went on a 10-2 run to take a 35-32 lead with 11:45 to go. The Badgers had their largest lead of the game at 43-36 (+7) with 5:08 remaining.

After shooting just 25 percent (6-of-24) in the first half, the Badgers shot 59.1 percent (13-of-22) in the second half. The Badgers scored just 17 points in the first half, tying for the seventh-lowest single-half point total in UW history.
