Player of the game
Senior Ashley Thomas finished with a career-high 14 points and seven rebounds while playing in a career-high 39 minutes. The 6-2 post shot 75 percent (6-of-8) from the field for a career best and was also 2-of-2 from the line. In addition, Thomas tied her career bests of three assists and one block.

Play of the game
The Badgers trailed 32-30 with 13:14 to play when Lorreal Jones went in for a layin and was blocked by Cassie Rochel with 12:53 to play. Jones got the offensive rebound, put the jumper back up but was again blocked by Rochel. Lindsay Smith grabbed the offensive rebound for the defensive stop by the Badgers. Wisconsin scored five straight points to go up 35-32 with 11:45 remaining.

Turning point
Wisconsin trailed 30-25 with 16:16 to play in the game and went on a 10-2 run to take a 35-32 lead with 11:45 to go. The Badgers had their largest lead of the game at 43-36 (+7) with 5:08 remaining.

Stat of the game
After shooting just 25 percent (6-of-24) in the first half, the Badgers shot 59.1 percent (13-of-22) in the second half. The Badgers scored just 17 points in the first half, tying for the seventh-lowest single-half point total in UW history. Wisconsin scored 31 points in the second, nearly doubling its first-half total.
        UW shot 41.3 percent (19-of-46) for the game to finish with 48 points, tying a season low.

• The Badgers won back-to-back games for the first time this season after downing Boston College on Nov. 30.
• Wisconsin tallied a season-low 12 turnovers. Saint Louis turned the ball over 11 times.
• Saint Louis was 0-for-8 from 3-point range, a season-low makes and percentage for a UW opponent this season. The totals dropped the Badgers’ 3-point defense on the season to .226, which leads the Big Ten.
• The Billikens also set opponent game lows for points (46), field goals made (19), field goal percentage (.284), 3-point field goals made (0), 3-point field goals attempted (8), and 3-point field goal percentage (.000).
• The Badgers were outrebounded 45-33, the second-highest deficit for Wisconsin this season and the second-highest total for an opponent.
• UW tied its season high with five blocks. Sophomore Cassie Rochel and senior Anya Covington both had two blocks, a season high for Covington.
• The Billikens took an opponent season-high 67 field goal attempts.
