Wisconsin 67, Purdue 62
Mackey Arena -- West Lafayette, Ind.
TEAM NOTES
Wisconsin improved to 13-5 on the season and 2-3 in Big Ten play with a 67-62 win over Purdue at Mackey Arena. The Badgers and Boilermakers do not play in Madison this season.
The Badgers recorded their first win at Mackey Arena since 2005 and just their second road win against Purdue since 1972.
UW is now 3-2 in true road games this season and 5-2 away from the Kohl Center.
Since 2009-10, the Badgers are 17-4 (.810) in games after a loss. That win percentage ranks second in the Big Ten over that span.
Wisconsin had five players score in double figures for the second time this season. UW also had five in double digits in the season-opener against Kennesaw State.
UW shot 47.5 percent the floor and 45.0 percent from 3-point range, the team's highest marks since the Big Ten opener vs. Nebraska.
The Badgers made 20 of 24 free throws, including each of their final eight. This is the second time this season Wisconsin has made at least 20 free throws in a game (also vs. Mississippi Valley State).
Wisconsin's 83.3 percent shooting at the free line was a season high, surpassing the previous high mark of 82.4 (14-of-17) vs. Iowa.
The Badgers have now won 51 consecutive games when shooting a higher percentage than their opponents.
