For the 14th time in 14 games, junior Taylor Wurtz scored in double figures. The 6-0 guard had a team-high 17 points, the only UW player in double figures. Wurtz was a perfect 6-for-6 from the free throw line and added a team-high seven rebounds.
Play of the Game
With 13:26 to play in the first half, freshman Lindsay Smith got a defensive rebound and passed it nearly full court to senior Jade Davis, who scored on the fast-break layup. Davis’s layin was part of an 11-0 run for the Badgers and made the score 13-11 in favor of the Nittany Lions.
Turning Point
After an 11-0 run, the Badgers led 15-13 with 12:23 to play in the half, before Penn State went on a 14-0 run to take a 27-15 lead with 8:00 to go in the period. Junior forward Nikki Greene scored seven points for the Lady Lions in the stretch. Wisconsin cut the lead to seven (27-20) but could get no closer.

- Freshman Lindsay Smith finished with a career-high two steals and tied her career high with two assists.
- Penn State scored an opponent season-high 82 points, going 34-of-65 from the field. The Nittany Lions also finished with an opponent high 26 assists and pulled down 45 rebounds, the second most for an opponent this season.
