Yoo, Danielson lead Badgers in fall season finale

Las Vegas -- Kris Yoo and Lindsay Danielson turned in top individual performances and the Wisconsin women’s golf team ended its fall season with a top-10 finish on Tuesday at the Las Vegas Collegiate Showdown.
Finishing off their final 18 holes at the Stallion Mountain Golf Club, the Badgers carded their second-best round of the 54-hole tournament, shooting a 15-over par 303 to total a 43-over par 292-312-303--907.
Indiana claimed the team title by shooting a final day 7-over par 295 and finished with a 30-over par 292-307-295--894. UCF came runner-up with a 33-over par 303-293-301--897, while UNLV finished third with its 34-over par 302-305-291--898.
A top contender throughout the tournament, Ally McDonald of Mississippi State finished strong with a 3-under par 69 and took home the individual title with a 2-under par 71-74-69--214.
Yoo was the top contender for Wisconsin, finishing in a tie for 14th place with a 7-over par 73-76-74--223. Just behind, Danielson came in a tie for 18th place with her 8-over par 72-78-74--224.
Also competing for Wisconsin, Kimberly Dinh came in a tie for 42nd place with a 16-over par 75-78-79--232, Aaren Ziegler finished in a tie for 49th with a 17-over par 76-81-76--233 and Alexis Nelson placed in a tie for 55th place after shooting an 18-over par 72-80-82--234.
With the fall season now completed for the Badgers, Wisconsin has a few months to regroup and prepare before it tees off the spring season on February 24-25 at the Westbrook Invitational in Peoria, Az., at the Westbrook Golf Course.
