Normal, Ill. – The Badgers finished the second tournament of the season in fifth place today with a 50-over par 308-299-295--902 at the 54-hole D.A. Weibring Intercollegiate in Normal, Ill
Illinois, the defending 2012 Big Ten Champions, took first place for the second time this season with an 18-over par 292-286-292--870. Finishing second was Central Arkansas, with a 39-over par 300-296-295--891.
Pep Angles, of Central Arkansas was the only player to finish even with a 70-70-73--213. Missouri State’s Daily Young rallied from being tied for 27th in the first round to finish second. Young closed the tournament with a 4-over 77-75-65--217.
Senior Chris Meyer led Wisconsin tying for 10th with an 8-over 76-74-71--221. Senior Anthony Aicher finished tied for 18th with an 11-over 78-73-73--224. Robert Jacobsen placed 31st with a 14-over 76-76-75--227. Thomas O'Bryan tied for 37th with a 17-over 78-76-76--230. Brady Keegan tied for 65th with a 26-over 81-76-82--239.
The Badgers will return home before heading to the Firestone Invitational in Akron, Ohio (October 8-9).
