TEAM NOTES
With the win, Wisconsin is off to an 11-0 start, equaling the team's best start of the modern era (since 1943). The 1993-94 team also opened the season 11-0 under head coach Stu Jackson.
The Badgers' 11-game win streak is also tied as the school's third-longest in the modern era.
Bo Ryan improved to 302-113 (.728) in 13 seasons at Wisconsin. Ryan is also now 685-216 (.760) during his 30 years of coaching in the college ranks.
UW is 128-30 (.810) in non-conference games under Ryan.
The Badgers improved to 187-18 (.912) at home under Bo Ryan, including a 96-7 (.932) record in non-conference home tilts.
The Badgers swept the in-state series for the first time since 2010, winning at Green Bay, 69-66, while beating Marquette, 70-64, and Milwaukee, 78-52, at home.
Bo Ryan's teams are now 32-7 (.821) against in-state foes, improving to 13-0 against Milwaukee.
Wisconsin shot 9-for-13 (.692) from 3-point range in the first half, the highest first-half percentage in the Big Ten this season. UW's 9 triples in the half also equaled the fifth-highest single-half mark in school annals (UW record is 11 in a half).
The Badgers finished 10-for-26 from outside the arc, their fifth game with at least 10 triples this season.
UW shot 50.8 percent from the field, the third time the Badgers have shot better than 50 percent this season.
The Badgers forced Milwaukee into 19 turnovers, the most for a UW opponent on the year, while coughing it up just 8 times themselves. Wisconsin is averaging a mere 8.9 turnovers per game, tied for best in the nation.
UW tallied 12 steals, its most since posting 16 vs. California on Dec. 2, 2012.
Wisconsin had four players score in double figures for the seventh time in 11 games.
Individual Notes
Senior Ben Brust led Wisconsin with 18 points, going 4-for-8 from 3-point range. Dating back to last season, Brust has hit multiple 3-pointers in 38 games, second-most in the nation (Marshall Henderson of Ole Miss has 42).
Junior Frank Kaminsky scored 16 points, pulled in 4 rebounds, adding 2 blocks and 2 steals
Sophomore Sam Dekker finished with 12 points, 8 rebounds and career-high 6 assists. He has scored in double digits in 9 of 11 games.
Sophomore Traevon Jackson finished 12 points, 3 rebounds and 4 assists. He has scored in double digits 8 times in 11 games.
Senior Zach Bohannon scored 5 points off the bench, equaling his Badgers career-high.
Sophomore Bronson Koenig set career highs with 4 rebounds and 2 steals, while adding 6 points and 1 rebound.
Freshman Jordan Hill scored his first career points on a pair of free throws.
