Wisconsin swept at NWCA National Duals

MADISON, Wis. -- The 2013 postseason got off to a rough start for the Badgers Sunday afternoon as they were swept in the opening round of NWCA National Duals in Kent, Ohio.
Wisconsin opened with a dual against Northern Iowa, falling 24-15 to the Panthers. In the consolation round, the Badgers posted a 33-10 loss to tournament host Kent State.
No. 1 Oklahoma State won the tournament with a 39-7 win over Northern Iowa, advancing to the finals in Minneapolis on Feb. 22-23.

No. 4 Tyler Graff (133 lbs.) and No. 11 Connor Medbery (Hwt.) continued their dominance on the mat, posting undefeated records in their two matches. Graff opened the tournament by pinning No. 11 Levi Wolfensperger in 2:55. Graff wrapped up his day with an 8-2 decision over Kent State's Mackenzie McGuire.
Medbery defeated Northern Iowa's Blayne Beal, 6-0, before posting a 10-1, major decision over Kent State's Keith Witt.
Scott Liegel and No. 17 Jackson Hein also picked up wins over the Panthers. At 174 lbs., Liegel posted a 7-3 decision over Kyle Lux, while Hein earned a 4-0 decision over Taylor Kettman at 197 lbs.
Wrestling at 141 lbs., Tom Kelliher earned a 6-0 decision over Kent State's Lukas Kern in his final match of the day.
