Eli’s Impact Scholarship Fund to honor wrestler’s legacy
The Wisconsin Athletic Department is proud to announce the creation of the Eli's Impact Scholarship Fund that will be presented each year to a worthy University of Wisconsin wrestler in honor of the late Eli Stickley.
On July 5, 2018, the nation's wrestling community suffered a heartbreaking loss when Badger wrestler Eli Stickley tragically passed away. The Wisconsin Badgers later paid homage to the young wrestler during the season as Director of Athletics, Barry Alvarez, presented the Stickley family with the newly created scholarship fund at the UW Field House on February 17, 2019 as they hosted Iowa. This scholarship fund was created to support the education of a Badger wrestler in perpetuity while continuing Eli's legacy at the University of Wisconsin as it will be awarded to a wrestler who demonstrates good academic standing and embodies all that Eli stood for as a disciplined wrestler, loyal teammate and loving friend.
