Badgers finish 15th at NCAA Championships

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. -- Highlighted by 2013 NCAA All-American Ivy Martin, the Wisconsin women’s swimming and diving team finished 15th at the NCAA championships following Saturday’s finals at the University of Indiana Natatorium.
The Badgers earned 65 points and finished third among all Big Ten teams. Minnesota (141) and Indiana (115) finished 10th and 11th, respectively.
Martin, who paced UW in six events at the championships, finished off her sophomore campaign by leading the 400-yard freestyle relay (3:16.55) team to a 12th-place finish. Along with junior Rebecka Palm, senior Ruby Martin and sophomore Aja Van Hout, the 400 free relay finished fourth in the B final and earned NCAA honorable mention All-American honors.
Ivy highlighted the 2013 NCAA Championships with a sixth-place finish in the 50-yard freestyle (22.03) before leading the 200-yard freestyle relay to a 10th-place finish.
