MADISON, Wis. -– While the 2014-15 Wisconsin men’s hockey team will look much different than last year, with 11 newcomers joining the squad, longtime radio announcer Brian Posick will return to WIBA-AM 1310 in Madison, and the statewide Badger Sports Network, to broadcast his 13th season of Badger games.
Former Wisconsin defenseman and assistant coach Ian Perrin will join Posick, providing color commentary for every home game, while Paul Capobianco of UW Athletic Communications will provide analysis when the Badgers hit the road.
Perrin, who played 129 games in the Cardinal and White from 1974-79, begins his second-consecutive year aside Posick after making several appearances on the radio last season. Perrin also called Badger hockey on the radio in the 1980s. Capobianco enters his sophomore campaign adding commentary for away games.
All games can be heard on WIBA with the possible exception of four dates where coverage may move to WTSO depending on the Wisconsin football game time. The four dates include: Nov. 8 against North Dakota, Nov. 22 at Denver, Nov. 29 against Ferris State and Dec. 6 against Penn State.
