Senior midfielder served as unquestioned leader for Badgers this season
MADISON, Wis. -- The unquestioned leader of the Wisconsin men's soccer team this past season, senior midfielder Drew Conner was recognized on the 2015 Big Ten Men's Soccer All-Tournament Team by the conference last weekend.
While the Badgers were eliminated in the quarterfinal round of the tournament with a 1-0 loss at Indiana, Conner helped Wisconsin finish its season unbeaten in five of the last eight games.
Named a 2015 Big Ten Preseason Player to Watch, Conner was ranked as the 17th best player in the Big Ten by TopDrawerSoccer.com prior to the season. The Cary, Illinois, native did not disappoint, starting all 17 games he played in and finished the year with five points on one goal and three assists.
Conner started all 73 games he played in over the course of his collegiate career with the Badgers. He was a second-team All-Big Ten honoree as a sophomore in 2013 and was named to the Big Ten All-Freshman Team in 2012.
