
Bucky Badger to compete in Steamboat Mascot Stampede

Mascot is one of 16 to participate on the slopes of Steamboat Ski Resort Dec. 11-13
STEAMBOAT SPRINGS, Colo -- Bucky Badger will return to the Colorado ski slopes this weekend to participate in the 2nd annual Steamboat Mascot Stampede Dec. 11-13 at the Steamboat Ski Resort.
Wisconsin's loveable and multi-talented mascot will be one of 16 from NCAA Division I institutions to convene on the slopes to test their skills in on- an off-snow competitions.The gathering, which features Miles the Mascot, Denver's professional football mascot, will help hone their skills in professional development and educational seminars taking place in Steamboat-Ski Town, U.S.A.

Alumni and fans of participating schools are invited to join the fun with ample opportunity for mascot interaction. The event kicks off Friday evening Dec. 11, with a Mascot Ski & Dance party where guests can hit the slopes with their favorite mascots then dance the night away in the base area. Saturday's events start with a Welcome Parade and Charades Competition which encourage fans to get up close and personal with the mascots, followed by Snow Bowling, Saucer Pull, Mascot Mingling and the Tug-O-War. Sunday's competitions include Snow Bike Slalom, Mascot Dance Off and Obstacle Challenge concluding with the Mascot Champion Crowning Ceremony on the Steamboat Stage.
All events take place in the base area or on the snow adjacent to the base area, and spectators will be able to get up close and personal with their favorite collegiate mascots, take photos and get autographs.
