Team Notes
- The Badgers improve to 5-6 on the season and have won two straight games for the first time this year.
- Wisconsin also moves to 14-19 in Big Ten Conference openers, including a 10-8 mark at home. UW has won its last two Big Ten openers at home. Head coach Bobbie Kelsey improves to 3-2 in conference openers.
- UW didn't show any letdown after being off for 15 days, tying for the longest break by an NCAA women's basketball team this season.
- The Badgers went 16-of-23 from the free-throw line today, marking their second-highest makes of the season. Wisconsin held Indiana, the Big Ten's most prolific free-throw shooting team to 13-of-21 from the line, only the second time this season that an opponent has shot more free throws than the Hoosiers.
- Wisconsin turned the ball over just nine times, tying a season low.
- UW tied a season low by taking just 12 3-point attempts. Wisconsin went 5-12 (41.7 percent) from behind the arc.
- The Badgers were outrebounded 36-25, the second-lowest team total by UW this season.
- Indiana made just five 3-point field goals, tying an opponent season low. The Hoosiers also had an opponent season-low 12 3-point field goal attempts.
- Wisconsin drew a season-high crowd of 4,410.
Individual Notes
- Senior Nicole Bauman tied her season high with 24 points. The 5-10 guard scored 12 points in the fourth quarter, going 4-of-6 from the field and 4-of-4 from the free throw line. She was 6-of-6 from the free throw line for the game, setting a career best and tying a UW individual season high.
- Bauman needs just 29 points for 1,000 in her career.
- Bauman has scored 10-or-more points in the last six games. She has also been the team's scoring leader the last five games in a row.
- Bauman has had at least four assists in six games this season.
- Bauman went 2-of-5 from 3-point range, moving into eighth on the UW career record list with 462 attempts.
- Senior Dakota Whyte scored 17 points, one short of her season best. She has scored in double figures in the last six games in a row.
- Redshirt senior Rosanna Gambino had a season-high four rebounds against the Hoosiers.
- Sophomore Cayla McMorris earned her fifth start of the year, playing for the ill Tessa Cichy. McMorris scored 12 points, her fourth double-figure scoring game this season. She was 4-of-6 from the field and 4-of-5 from the free-throw line. McMorris added two rebounds, one assist and one steal.
