McNicoll to represent Canada at TORONTO 2015 Pan American Games

MADISON, Wis. -- University of Wisconsin women's soccer midfielder Kinley McNicoll was nominated to represent Canada at the upcoming TORONTO 2015 Pan American Games, as announced by the Canadian Olympic Committee (COC) and Canada Soccer on Friday.
McNicoll was among the 18 players nominated for Canada's roster ahead of the upcoming games, which take place July 10-26 this summer. Canada looks to defend the Gold Medal that it won four years ago in Guadalajara.
Canada opens competition in Group B at the CIBC Hamilton Soccer Stadium on July 11 against Ecuador before wrapping up play with games against Costa Rica (July 15) and Brazil (July 19).
McNicoll served as team captain for Canada's Women's Under-20 team last summer at the FIFA U-20 Women's World Cup, which was also hosted by Canada.
The Oakville, Ontario, native is coming off an an impressive junior campaign at Wisconsin during which she earned first-team All-Big Ten honors and was selected to the NSCAA All-Great Lakes Region second team. McNicoll finished second for UW last fall in points (27), playing in all 24 games for the Badgers and tallying nine goals and nine assists. Her season was highlighted by scoring the game-winning goal in double overtime of the 2014 Big Ten Tournament championship game, clinching the title for the Badgers.
