MADISON, Wis. - University Ridge Golf Course was rated as one of the top campus courses in the country, according to the September 2015 edition of Golfweek Magazine. Opened in 1991, the Robert Trent Jones-designed course came in at No. 3 on the Best Campus Courses list for the second-consecutive year after moving up from No. 5 in 2014.
Identical to the 2014 list, University Ridge trailed top-ranked The Course at Yale, located in New Haven, Conn., and Williams College's Taconic Golf Course in Williamstown, Mass., which came in at No. 2.
Spots four through seven, which feature No. 4 The Rawls Course at Texas Tech, No. 5 Palouse Ridge Golf Course (Washington State), No. 6 Stanford Golf Course and No. 7 The Orchards, also remained the same as last year.
The Badgers have the top collegiate course in the Big Ten, as Purdue University's Birck Boilermaker Golf Complex (Kampen) was ranked 11th, Ohio State's Scarlet golf course was No. 12 and Michigan's university golf course came in at No. 13. Other notable Midwest links on the list include Warren Golf Course at Notre Dame and Radrick Farms in Ann Arbor, Mich.
