Coach and player quotes
Head Coach John Trask
Opening Statement
"It was a typical Big Ten game. Great job by their players and coaching staff, that's a good Big Ten Team. They beat us two years ago here in overtime, we beat them in overtime last year. It was a fantastic match. I'm very pleased with our team's performance and this match. There is never an easy game in the Big Ten and their coaching staff does a fantastic job. It was nice getting the 1-0 shutout and we'll take it and move forward. "
On gaining momentum after the Penn State loss
"I think the guys didn't feel like they played their best but at the end of the day it's hard to win on the road. Being at home and seeing Philip (Schilling) and the back four, and the whole team get another shutout is excellent. This is what you want going into October. I told the team after the game, 'At some point the flood gates are going to open.' We're too good of an attacking team and we're saving it up for the right moment. This team looks like it's ready to explode offensively and we're pretty excited with where we're at.
On Mike Catalano
"He's one of the rare midfielders you find in college soccer with his ability to go to goal. His assist tonight to find Sam Brotherton in front of goal was fantastic. Mike is a terrific soccer player and young man. I love working with him. He drives me crazy every once in a while, as they all do, but the good ones are normally like that. The special ones are the ones that take a little more working with at times."

Defender Sam Brotherton
On getting another shutout
"Just putting our bodies in the way. At the start of the season it was an objective to protect McClimon and I think we've done that really well. We've stayed really disciplined and worked phenomenally as a unit to keeping them shut out."
On winning after the Penn State loss
"We're on a two-game winning streak now and haven't lost at home. I think we're in a good place. The loss was a tough one to take but it was motivation to get back up and on the right path.
On getting the first goal of the season and career as a Badger
"About time honestly. It was nice to get the monkey off my back and hoping to get a few more. I'm just really pleased with the team."
